The Minnesota Twins have made a splash in free agency today as they have signed one of the top free agent pitchers on the market.
Ricky Nolasco, will be heading to Fort Myers this February as he has signed a four year deal worth $49 million with a vesting option for 2018.
Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com (a high-school senior) first broke the news of the Nolasco signing, while Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com was able to confirm the signing a few minutes later.
Nolasco and #Twins have agreed to the financial number (looks like less than $52mil) and are finalizing years/options.

Nolasco, who will turn 31 this offseason has been in the league nine seasons with eight of those coming with the Miami Marlins and pitching last season for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Nolasco over his career is 89-75 with a 4.37 ERA in 1312.2 innings pitched.
Last season, Nolasco went 13-11 with 3.70 ERA in 199.1 IP.
The Twins, who pitching acquisition last offseason was trading for former Philadelphia Phillies starter Vance Worley needed to find an upgrade to their rotation this offseason as last season they ranked 29th in the league with a rotation ERA of 4.81 and a total ERA of 5.26.
The Twins are most likely not done as they have also been rumored to have interest in starters Bronson Arroyo and Matt Garza.
