In a game where the Drexel Dragons led in the first half 27-8, the Arizona Wildcats eventually woke up and won 66-62. The Drexel Dragons out of the CAA gave Arizona out of the Pac-12 a fight to the end and definitely gave them an early season scare.

The reason that Drexel’s offense was cooking tonight was because of guard Chris Fouch. Fouch scored 29 points on 27 shots. Even though he took that many shots, it actually helped Drexel’s offense. He was also 3 of 11 from the three point line. In the first half, Fouch was the offense along with Frantz Massenat.

Massenat had a solid game as he had 17 points and took 18 shots. Fouch and Massenat kept Drexel in this game until the final buzzer. Damion Lee had an impact in the game until he drove to the basket and landed awkwardly on his foot and saying he heard something pop, talking about his knee.

Lee would only score six points in the game and will get a MRI on Thanksgiving; hopefully he can play on Friday afternoon.

For Arizona, super freshman Aaron Gordon did not have a dominating performance as he only had 11 points and 12 rebounds. Thanks to Drexel’s defense he was not a factor.

But Drexel’s interior defense would fold, as Arizona’s Kaleb Tarczewski would dominate in the second half since he only had two points in the first. Tarczewski would finish the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Finally, Arizona’s guards would get going as Fouch and Massenat would get tired. Nick Johnson and T.J. McConnell would combine for 31 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists.

Drexel now awaits the loser of Alabama-Duke, in which the Dragons will play them in the consolation game on Friday afternoon.

Update on the status of Damion Lee’s injury, this is according to Jon Rothstein, College Basketball Insider for CBS Sports:
