According to Jim Bowden of ESPN, the Oakland Athletics have signed left handed pitcher Scott Kazmir to a two year, $22 million dollar deal.

Kazmir was 10-9 with an ERA of 4.04 with the Indians last season. He will turn 30 years old in January.
This signing pretty much rules out the possibility of Bartolo Colon returning to Oakland.
I’m not a big fan of this deal. I think that $22 million is too much for a guy like Scott Kazmir, mainly because he’s had a very inconsistent career, and I don’t expect him to repeat the success he had with the Indians last season.
