Outfielder Shin-Soo Choo has agreed to a seven year, $130 million deal, reports Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

There are no opt-outs or options in this deal, and there is a limited no-trade clause, reports Jeff Passan.

Choo hit .285/.423/.462 with the Cincinnati Reds last season, to go along with 21 home runs and 54 runs batted in. The best thing about Choo is his on base percentage. His on base percentage was .423 last season, that is insanely good. He’s always getting on base. When you have a guy like this at the top of your lineup, you’re going to score more runs. He scored 107 runs last season, that definitely corresponds with his tremendous on base percentage. Choo’s only weakness offensively is his batting average against left handed pitchers. He hit just .215 against lefties last season, that’s not good at all. Choo is a very good player offensively, but he’s not very good at defense. When you put up amazing offensive numbers like Choo though, your defensive struggles can be overlooked.

Choo signed a seven year, $130 million dollar deal. $130 million is a lot of money, and seven years is a long time. Choo is a great player though, so I think that this is a fair price. The Rangers made a great signing this afternoon.
