According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Houston Texans have hired former Penn State head coach, Bill O’Brien. The Texans are expected to introduce their new head coach before Saturday, Schefter notes.

This is great news for Texans fans, but terrible news for Penn State fans, because O’Brien is a great coach.
I don’t blame O’Brien for leaving. He’ll get payed a lot more in the NFL. But I do have a problem with the fact that O’Brien flat out lied to some recruits. That’s a terrible thing to do.
No matter how you look at it though, O’Brien did help Penn State get back on their feet, and they’re in a better position than they were when he came here. He had a record of 15-9 in two season with the Nittany Lions. That’s pretty good. Overall, he did a very good job for Penn State.
