According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin says he is ahead of schedule. If you remember Maclin tore his ACL in his right knee back in training camp which meant Riley Cooper had to step up in his place.
Riley Cooper has done an admirable job this season. He has 835 receiving yards on 47 receptions and eight touchdowns. Maclin said on Thursday that he anticipates being ready for spring practices on April 21.
Before Maclin can join the team for spring practices he has to be re-signed. Maclin and Cooper both become free agents on March 11.
As an Eagles fan, you have to be excited to hear that Maclin is ahead of schedule and you would think that Howie Roseman would re-sign him.
Maclin, when healthy is the Eagles number one wide receiver since he is an all-around wide out. Just imagine Maclin in Chip Kelly’s offense, he could be putting up numbers just like DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper.
