Today, the Philadelphia Phillies made a ton of roster moves. First, they signed pitcher Chad Gaudin to a minor league contract and then they signed former Phillie Bobby Abreu to a minor league contract as well.
Finally, they ended their day by avoiding arbitration with reliever Antonio Bastardo. Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com reported that it is a one year, $2 million contract.

Everybody remembers how Bastardo’s season ended and that was with a 50 game suspension as he was one of the players named in the Biogenesis Report. Bastardo will have to make Phillie fans forget that he was involved but it will be hard.
Last season, Bastardo only pitched in 48 games and had a 2.32 ERA. He threw 42 2/3 innings with 47 strikeouts, 21 walks, and two saves.
