2014 National Signing Day is finally here! All college fans, college athletes, and high schoolers looking to set their future in stone are excited today. But the feeling is magnified for Penn State, because they have recently hired a new coach, James Franklin. With the hiring of the new coach, a lot of people expected some recruits to leave. Well today, all of Penn State fans’ doubts can be washed away, because their future is now more definite than questionable.
Penn State entered today with five signees already:

- Michael O’Connor – QB — Bradenton, FL (IMG Academy)
- De’Andre Thompkins – WR — Swansboro, NC (Swansboro HS)
- Chasz Wright Wright – OL — New Berlin, NY (Milford Academy)
- Antoine Wright – DL — Millville, NJ (Millville HS)
Penn State had 20 scholarships to use on the 2014 class. Those five recruits that have already signed before today do not count against that number.
