Running Back SaQuon Barkley flips commitment from Rutgers to Penn State

Running back SaQuon Barkley has flipped his commitment from Rutgers to Penn State. He reported the news on Twitter today:

The 5-foot-11, 195 pound running back originally committed to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in September of 2013, but he picked up multiple scholarship offers since then.

Boston College, Connecticut, Indiana, Michigan State, Missouri, North Carolina, and Pittsburgh were recruiting Barkley, as well as Penn State.

According to 247 sports, Barkley is a four-star recruit. 247 sports also has him as the seventh best recruit in the state of Pennsylvania and the 21st best running back in the country.

Penn State now has four recruits in their 2015 recruiting class; running back SaQuon Barkley, safety Jarvis Miller, offensive lineman Ryan Bates, and defensive end Kamonte Carter.
