2014 NFL Draft: Jordan Tripp to visit Philadelphia Eagles

-6

With it already being the month of April, the Philadelphia Eagles are continuing to prep for the 2014 NFL Draft. Many people think the Eagles will select a wide receiver with their first round pick but they still have a ton of holes on the defensive side of the ball.

Today, NFL.com Senior Analyst Gil Brandt, tweeted that Montana linebacker Jordan Tripp will be visiting the Eagles on Monday. The Eagles definitely need help at the linebacker position with aging players such as DeMeco Ryans, Trent Cole, and Connor Barwin in the 3-4 defense.

Tripp is a senior and comes in at 6-foot-3 and 234 lbs. For the Grizzlies, Tripp played outside linebacker. Tripp also is a playmaker as this season he was all over the field. This past season, Tripp played in all 13 games, had 100 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 3 interceptions, and one forced fumble.

With those kinds of numbers I can see many NFL teams wanting to take a look at him. Also according to Brandt, the Falcons are taking a look at Tripp as well. CBSSports.com has Tripp projected as a third round pick.
