The second week of the college football season has come and gone with a few upsets. Oregon started off slow against Michigan State but turned it around and won the game. Ohio State shocked everyone by getting beat by Virginia Tech. Notre Dame looked impressive against Michigan in their last game against each other. South Carolina, coming off a horrible loss against Texas A&M, failed to impress against East Carolina. Stanford and USC played the best game of the weekend with USC coming out on top by three points. It’s everything we expected and more from the second week of the college football season. Below is the Top 25 College Football Rankings for Week 2:
- FSU (2-0)
- Alabama (2-0) – Alabama is still trying to figure out their number one quarterback. The Tide’s game against Florida Atlanta University did not help Coach Saban make a decision due to the great play of both QBs. This will continue to be a storyline for the team throughout the season. It’s worrisome because a two QB system can affect chemistry on and off the field.
- Oregon (2-0) – Oregon started off slow but handled their Big Ten opponent, Michigan State, with ease as their offense began to roll. Oregon will be a force to reckon with throughout the season.
- Oklahoma (2-0) – Oklahoma’s defense looked great surrendering a lone touchdown against Tulsa. Their offense looked like a well-oiled machine. Watch out, Bob Stoops is back!
- Auburn (2-0)
- Texas A&M (2-0) – Texas A&M has had two impressive wins in the first two weeks of the season. They beat South Carolina in Week 1 and handled Lamar University. You can’t ask for much more from the Aggies.
- Baylor (2-0)
- Georgia (2-0)
- UCLA (2-0)
- LSU (2-0)
- USC (2-0)
- Notre Dame (2-0)
- Ole Miss (2-0)
- Arizona State (2-0)
- Wisconsin (2-0)
- Nebraska (2-0)
- Stanford (1-1)
- Kansas State (2-0)
- Missouri (2-0)
- Louisville (2-0)
- North Carolina (2-0)

- Michigan State (1-1)
- South Carolina (1-1)
- Clemson (1-1)
