It looks like the number one team in the nation will be without their starting quarterback tomorrow night when they take on no. 22 Clemson.
According to a press release, Florida State University announced that quarterback Jameis Winston will be suspended for tomorrow’s game.
Florida State will sit Jameis Winston for the entire Clemson game, school announces.

Earlier in the week, Winston got in trouble for shouting an obscenity laced internet meme in the student union. Winston, then apologized during a press conference and made it known that he is not an “I” person. Florida State’s original verdict was for him to be suspended for the first half tomorrow night against Clemson but obviously that has changed.
Why the change of heart by Florida State? Who knows? Maybe, it was because the reaction and hot takes that was happening across the sports and social media landscape. Maybe it was because of Winston’s other transgressions in the past that has led Mel Kiper Jr. to drop him on his big board and raise red flags to NFL teams.
Hopefully, Winston learns from this as Florida State finally took a stand that everybody wanted them to. Finally, when the Seminoles take on Clemson tomorrow night, under center will be redshirt sophomore Sean Maguire.
