A former Wildcat has joined the Villanova coaching staff according to head coach Jay Wright’s twitter account, that former wildcat is Brook Sales, who played for the Wildcats from 1999-2002.
Sales originally played under former Wildcats’ head coach Steve Lappas before playing under current head coach Jay Wright in 2002. That season, Sales was the senior captain for the Wildcats and averaged 10.4 points per game that year to go along with 9.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
He finished his career at Villanova with 1,015 career points (253 per season) , 858 rebounds, 171 assists, and 127 blocks. After finishing his career at Nova, Sales played for a decade overseas in Europe before retiring in 2012. He replaces Jason Fraser who now coaches for the NBA D-League’s Austin Toros.
