On the Oct. 6 edition of Monday Night Raw, WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returned to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY to defend America and give everyone an idea of what The Rock is cookin’.
There has been an ongoing feud between Rusev, the ravishing Russian Lana, and many of the WWE superstars that want to defend the country of America. Some of those superstars include “The Real American” Jack Swagger,” Mark Henry, and the Big Show.
Rusev is a six-foot tall, 305-pound beast from Bulgaria and representing Russia who is always accompanied by the beautiful social ambassador Lana who simply does all his talking for him.
Rusev and Lana like to come on everyone’s television screen and continuously say that Americans are horrible people and that Russia is the better country. Swagger defended America in a flag match during the Pay-Per-View event Summerslam back in August. Jack Swagger lost this match when Rusev forced him to pass out with the Accolade.
“The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry then decided to take on the challenge at Night of Champions in September. When Rusev forced Henry to tap out from the Accolade, fans were not too pleased.
The Big Show, who is good friends with Mark Henry, came out to defend him and the country. He gave Rusev one knockout punch to the face, knocking him over and proving the Big Show is not going to be as easy as his last few competitors.
A week ago on Raw, Big Show tore down the Russian flag. Lana and Rusev found this extremely disrespectful and demanded an apology that the Big Show then gave last Friday night on Smackdown.
Last night on Raw, Rusev and Lana returned to express their feelings on the apology from the Big Show. When Lana yelled for the Big Show to come out, there was no answer to her plea. But to everyone’s surprise, someone else’s music came on. The Rock.
The arena erupted with screaming fans as the familiar music of a legend came on. The Rock came out to defend his country and his fellow WWE superstars. Rusev responds to his interruption by saying, “Listen you American piece of garbage. This is your last warning. Leave now or I will crush you”.
The Rock responds and says, “Is that what you think, you think you can crush the Rock? It doesn’t matter what you think”. He then says why Rusev has been unbeatable. No one has been able to beat him because he’s bigger and stronger than any WWE superstar. But this is not why fans dislike him. “We don’t boo you because you’re from Russia. We boo you because you’re both a bunch of international a-holes”.
Lana steps in and says how Rusev is hungry and quotes their president Vladamir Putin as Rusev prepares for a fight. The Rock retaliates by saying, “And just like the great Jay Z once said. “Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am the jabroni beating, pie eating, trail blazing, eyebrow raising, talk to your son, your out of your class, no sleep till Brooklyn, The Rock whoops your ass,” and then starts firing punches at Rusev until he flies out of the ring.
Not only did the Rock come and deliver a beating to Rusev, he also gave the crowd an experience they will never forget and asked a simple yet effective question, “Can you smell what The Rock is cookin?” and the crowd’s eruption of screams gave him that answer. But the question on everyone’s mind is will the Rock be returning for good as a part of a new storyline? We WWE fans will just have to wait and find out.
