Even though, the Philadelphia Eagles are on their bye week this week, there is still a ton of things to talk about. Today, Harris Interactive released their annual poll of sports fans and they came up with that the Denver Broncos are the favorites of more Americans than any other team.
You can probably call the Denver Broncos “America’s Team” now since they took that moniker away from the Dallas Cowboys who held that throne last year.
Now what about where the other teams in the NFC East rank? Well, the New York Giants come in as the second most popular team, Washington comes in at 14th and your Philadelphia Eagles come in as the 15th most popular team.
Last season, the Eagles were ranked as the ninth most popular team and I don’t know why that number has fallen this season. Not to mention, the Eagles are tied at 15th with the Miami Dolphins. Yes, those Miami Dolphins that have Joe Philbin as their head coach and Ryan Tannehill as their quarterback.
You know that team that lost to the Green Bay Packers with six seconds left in the game on Sunday. Yes, that team. If you are an Eagles fan, I would not take too much stock into this poll because it doesn’t matter how popular your team is as long as they are winning to be honest.
Who knows? If the Eagles finish out the rest of this season strong and make a long into the playoffs, this time next year, their ranking should jump up into the top 10.
