For the Oakland Raiders, the season has been dismal with a few bright spots. They are currently 0-6, fired their head coach in Dennis Allen, a few weeks ago and now have Tony Sparano at the helm but might have found their franchise quarterback in rookie Derek Carr.

Carr has started every game this season beating out veteran Matt Schaub for the starting quarterback position. There also might be another bright spot coming soon to the Raiders and that would be on the defensive side of the ball.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, he reports that the Oakland Raiders plan to activate cornerback D.J. Hayden for tomorrow’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Hayden was selected with the 12th overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft but has not played a single snap this season as he has been out since May with a stress fracture in his right foot.

He returned to practice on October 15 after coming off of the physically unable to perform list. Last season as a rookie, Hayden had 25 combined tackles, a forced fumble and an interception.

Hayden should be able to help Oakland’s secondary as the defense is only giving up 229.5 passing yards per game, which ranks 11th in the NFL. The Raiders will be looking for their first victory of the season tomorrow afternoon.
