Today, we found out more news regarding Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles’s fractured clavicle that he suffered in yesterday’s game against the Houston Texans.
Last night it was reported that the quarterback indeed had suffered a fractured clavicle and was set to have a MRI today to determine how long he would be out.
This afternoon, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports 1 and Adam Schefter of ESPN both had new information regarding Foles’s injury.
Eagles QB Nick Foles does not need surgery on his fractured collarbone, source says. Best possible news. Hope is he’s back in 6 weeks.

Not needing surgery on fractured clavicle, Eagles QB Nick Foles now expected to miss 6-8 weeks, per source.

The good news is that Foles does not need surgery but the bad news is that he will possibly miss the rest of the regular season. If you look at what 6-8 weeks is from now, that takes the Eagles to their week 15 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on December 14 and they end the season on December 28 at the New York Giants.
Without Foles for the foreseeable future, your starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles is Mark Sanchez. Sanchez will be leading an Eagles team that is currently 6-2 and in first place in the NFC East. The rest of the season now rides on the shoulders of Sanchez and head coach Chip Kelly.
