The Philadelphia Eagles made a roster move today as they officially placed linebacker DeMeco Ryans on injured reserve as he suffered a torn Achilles in yesterday’s game ending his season.
To replace Ryans on the roster, the Eagles signed safety Chris Prosinski, formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Eagles GM Howie Roseman announced the signing tonight on his weekly radio show.

Prosinski is more known for his special teams play rather than playing safety. He was brought in last Wednesday for a tryout according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

Over his four-year career, Prosinski has 93 combined tackles and an interception. This season, he has only played in three games including the regular season opener when the Eagles took on the Jaguars. In that game, Prosinski had two tackles.
He should provide much-needed depth in the secondary and will be another solid player on special teams.
