WWE TLC highlights, Brock Lesnar returns to Raw

After watching Sunday night’s Pay-Per-View, Tables, Ladders, Chairs…and Stairs, it is clear the WWE has proven that they are bringing back the violence.

Dolph Ziggler and Luke Harper started off the night with a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. Ziggler won the match after a Super Kick to Harper, but not before heads were smashed and people started bleeding.

This match exceeded my expectations and was a great start to the night. It was action packed and made me wonder what the rest of the matches were going to be like if the first one was already so extreme.

The Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt match was my favorite of the night. I could not wait to see these two tear each other apart in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. And they did just that, hitting each other with every object that they could find.

Ambrose even grabbed one of the tallest ladders available, climbed it, and elbow dropped Wyatt, showing how extreme he was willing to get.

Not only did these two go to every level of extreme on Sunday night, but Ambrose even grabbed a TV and tried to smash it over Wyatt’s head. The TV shorted out in Ambrose’s face, resulting in a win for Wyatt.

These two bring back the exciting violence that WWE once had, and there is always something new and exciting when they fight each other. This feud is definitely one of my favorites.

The match that I thought was the most disappointing was the tables match with Seth Rollins and John Cena; not because of the fighting, but because of who won.

Rollins and Cena had an amazing match, each of them equally giving it their all. But Rollins’s tricks with his security team are getting old. Rollins is trying to prove he can be the face of the WWE without The Authority’s help. But now, he has the help of his security team and they never leave his side, constantly interfering in his matches.

As Cena threw Rollins through a table, of course the referee did not see it and therefore could not declare Cena the winner. Mercury and Noble were able to remove the evidence of the broken table and make it look like Cena’s win never happened.

Once both the superstars came to, they began fighting on the edge of the ring where two tables had been set up earlier that night. Cena and Rollins both fell through the tables. The tapes were replayed and since they both fell through at the same time, the match was restarted.

As the two men started their match over, The Big Show came down the ramp. Just before The Big Show can cause any more problems, Roman Reigns music came on and he came down the stairs through the audience. He came in the ring and landed a Superman Punch and Spear to The Big Show and then doing the same to Rollins.

Cena was then able to deliver an AA on Rollins, throwing him through the table and winning the match. It is now official that Cena will face Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

This match had its amazing moments and each superstar performed the best I’ve seen them in a long time. The return of Reigns also made the match much more exciting. But I can’t help but think how interesting it would have been to wonder who would be the number one contender for the match against Lesnar if Cena had not won. I just think this would have been a better story line.

The following night on Raw added to the excitement when Chris Jericho hosted and Brock Lesnar returned.

The night started with Rollins complaining about how he deserved to win and how much he has been through. Rollins then decided it was a good idea to make fun of Jericho and tell him that anyone could win a fight against him, even Paul Heyman.

Jericho liked the idea of this and decided to make a match; Jericho vs. Heyman, with the WWE universe getting to decide what kind of fight it was going to be through the WWE app.

Once it came time for the match, which was officially voted as a street fight, Heyman kept whining about how he is an advocate and not a wrestler. He started asking Jericho “why in the world he would want to get into a fight with….Brock Lesnar.”

As soon as that name came out of Hayman’s mouth, Lesnar came out into the ring and delivered the F-5 to Jericho all while Hayman was giggling and smiling in delight in the corner.

Lesnar then made another appearance during the Cena vs. Rollins cage match at the end of the night. As Cena was about to win, Lesnar delivered a couple German Suplexes and an F-5 to Cena, leaving him lying on the ground and allowing Rollins to win.

Rollins shook Hayman’s hand, making fans believe that Rollins was in cahoots with Lesnar and Hayman. I, on the other hand, think it’s part of Lesnar’s strategy to get  in Cena’s head before their match at the Royal Rumble.

These past few nights have been more than entertaining. There are only six weeks till the Royal Rumble, and anything can happen between now and then.
