Last week, social media went a buzz as word got out that Philadelphia Eagles safety Nate Allen was arrested by Florida police and then released on an allegation of indecent exposure.
The good news from this situation is that Allen has been cleared of the allegation. If you do not remember what happened, here is the shortened version.
Last Monday, a 16-year-old girl had called the police to inform them of a man she had seen in large black two door or four door Ford pick-up, with his window down fondling himself. The girl then described the man in his mid-40s to early 50s, with a gray/white goatee and wearing a red shirt and white visor.
Coincidentally, police saw Allen driving a black Ford F-250 truck and wearing a red shirt and white cap. Allen was then stopped by the authorities as the girl came to the traffic stop to identify him.
According to Mike Florio of PFT, there was other evidence suggesting that Allen was not the man the girl saw.
Here is more from Florio:
“Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Office of the State Attorney for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Fort Myers, Florida has found that Allen “could not have been the perpetrator” that triggered the allegations.”
After this incident, Allen told CSNPhilly.com that he was going to clear his name and that “someone definitely lied.”
Now that Allen has this incident behind him, he can now focus on free agency which begins on March 10.
