Report: Georgia wide receiver Chris Conley has pre-draft visit with Eagles

Georgia v Kentucky

With the Philadelphia Eagles losing wide receiver Jeremy Maclin to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency and the possible signing of free agent wide receiver Miles Austin, they need help at the position.

The Eagles, thus far have done their due diligence in pre-draft visits when it comes to the wide receiver position. According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, University of Georgia wide receiver Chris Conley told him that he has pre-draft visits set up with the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts.

Conley, the 6-foot-2, 213 lbs. senior wideout had a productive career at Georgia. Over his four-year career, he had 117 receptions for 1,938 yards and 20 touchdowns. This past season was good for Conley as he had 36 receptions for 657 yards and eight touchdowns.

He is a deep threat that the Eagles offense could use because right now no wide receiver on the roster is that certified threat that can blow the top off of defenses. To end his Georgia career, Conley played in the NFLPA game and in the 40-yard dash he ran a 4.35. That is game breaking speed that Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly loves to see, so I am not surprised that they are bringing him in for a visit.
