After a disappointing season for the St. Joseph’s Hawks, they look forward to having a better 2015 season. Today, the field for the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic was announced which includes the Hawks.
The classic is held every November at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut as it features eight teams, broken down into two four-team tournaments.
The tournament field that St. Joe’s will be playing in features Purdue taking on Old Dominion and the Hawks taking Florida. Who knows if Billy Donovan will still be at Florida, when the two teams face off? In the other tournament field, Vermont will take on Niagara while Buffalo plays North Carolina A&T.
This will be a good early season test the Hawks as they finished this past season with a 13-18 overall record and an 8-10 conference record. St. Joseph’s will continue to lean on DeAndre Bembry as he finished this past season with 17.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
