Is the SEC really the best conference in college football? It’s tough to tell if you look at our rankings. Alabama is the only SEC left with a shot at the College Football Playoff but they will be tested on December 5th when they face off against the No. 18 Florida Gators for the SEC championship. No. 1 Clemson will also be fighting to stay atop the rankings but a loss to No. 7 North Carolina would almost definitely eliminate them from playoff hopes.
Iowa has the toughest road for staying in the playoff hunt with a matchup against the hungry Michigan State Spartans on the horizon. Iowa has played a relatively week schedule with their ranked opponents being No. 23 Wisconsin in early October and No. 14 Northwestern in mid-October. Iowa will be facing their biggest challenge of the season in the biggest game of their season this Saturday.
