The Philadelphia Eagles are still looking for their Director of Player Personnel after firing head coach Chip Kelly at the end of December and Jeffrey Lurie wanting to have more of a collaborative thought process in the front office.
On Thursday, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Steelers owner/president Art Rooney II told reporters that the Eagles have received permission to interview Steelers Pro Scout Coordinator Brandon Hunt, for the team’s Director of Player of Personnel.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer added this tidbit on Hunt:
Has been in that position since 2010. This would be a slight bump. https://t.co/tpI7FVbTEx

Hunt has ties to the state of Pennsylvania as he is a graduate of IUP and was a graduate assistant there in 2004. He then joined the Steelers in 2005 and continued to help them in 2006 with college and pro scouting. After being with the Steelers for those two years, Hunt was then hired by the Houston Texans in June 2007 helping them as a pro scout, until he was brought back to the Steel City in 2010.
As an Eagles fan, you have to like the idea of the front office taking their search outside of the organization as they try to find someone who can work well with Howie Roseman.
