The Buffalo Bills have brought back wide receiver Leonard Hankerson on a one-year deal. Hankerson was claimed off waivers by the Bills last season from the New England Patriots on Dec. 28 and played one game with the team. Hankerson confirmed the news via Twitter yesterday.

Hankerson, 27, is a former third round pick of the Washington Redskins in the 2011 NFL Draft out of University of Miami. Hankerson spent the first four seasons of his career with the Redskins before splitting last season with the Atlanta Falcons (8 games), the Patriots (1 game) and the Bills (1 game).
Hankerson will look to fill the void left by former Bills wide receiver Chris Hogan, who signed a three-year deal with the New England Patriots this offseason. Hankerson has 1,408 yards receiving and nine touchdowns in his five-year career and will look to lock down the third or fourth wide receiver role in Buffalo.
The Bills have had a relatively quiet offseason so far, but have retained pieces they liked from last season like offensive linemen Richie Incognito and Cordy Glenn. These moves are apart of an effort to retain continuity in a locker room that is looking to develop an identity under second year head coach Rex Ryan and displace the Patriots atop the AFC East.
