While the NBA season isn’t completely over, the mood of some fan bases have already turned towards the playoffs.  The only real questions are who will get the eight seed in the Western Conference (either the Houston Rockets or the Utah Jazz) and will the Golden State Warriors pass the single season mark for most wins.  The Warriors have already matched the 72-10 mark and have two chances to break the record.

With the NBA season coming to an end, it’s time to reflect on the players that made a large difference as well as some local topics specific to the Philadelphia 76ers.  The Sixers have had a strange season.  They almost broke the record for most losses in a season, hired Jerry Colangelo (for reasons that are obvious for some and not so obvious for others), received the resignation of general manager Sam Hinkie a week before the season ended, and are now dealing with the PR nightmare that is Bryan Colangelo taking over the team.

The perception among Hinkie supporters is that the NBA planted Jerry Colangelo in an effort to usurp Sam Hinkie out of office and install his son in Hinkie’s role.  (I’m not saying that’s what happened.  I’m just saying what some — including me — believe.)

My brother, Attiba, joins me on the Monday Morning Conversation to talk about the last week in the Hinkie regime, where the Sixers go moving forward as well as reveal the inaugural Royster Brothers All-NBA Team.  Everyone else is going to have one, so why shouldn’t we?  It’s fun, and the banter between who should be on our team should be amazing.

Of course, this podcast wouldn’t be complete without commenting on the selection of Allen Iverson into the Basketball Hall of Fame.  We’ll talk about all that and more on today’s pod.
