In 2000, the Tennessee Titans’ path to a Super Bowl in Tampa Bay was obstructed by a rugged Baltimore Ravens team that upset them in an epic playoff battle.
Eight years later, those pesky Ravens are once again standing in the way of the Titans’ journey to a Super Bowl trip to Tampa.
Thanks to yesterday’s convincing victory over the Dolphins, the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans will renew one of the league’s most fiercest rivalries in next Saturday’s playoff showdown.

2001 Week 9- Ravens 16 Titans 10

Steve McNair’s quarterback sneak for a TD appeared to have given the Titans the win. However, Raven defensive lineman Peter Boulware was called for offsides, so the Titans had to run the play again.

2001 AFC Divisional Playoffs- Ravens 24 Titans 10

After securing homefield advantage for the AFC playoffs, the Titans fell to the eventual world champion Ravens in this heartbreaking defeat.
The aforementioned Del Greco missed three field goals as the Titans wasted scoring opportunity after scoring opportunity against Baltimore’s stellar defense.
2004 AFC Playoffs- Titans 20 Ravens 17
Playing with a dislocated shoulder, a resilient Eddie George stood toe-to-toe with nemesis Ray Lewis, getting the best of him one on a memorable run that ended with the two warriors jawing at each other.
The geriatric Gary Anderson saved the day with a game-winning field goal that gave the Titans the victory.
Earlier this year, a Kerry Collins touchdown strike to Alge Crumper gave the Titans a hard-earned 13-10 victory over Baltimore.
