I heard an interesting conversation on Nashville sports radio this afternoon. Sally Reese, the wife of former Titans general manager Floyd Reese, called in to give her version of events concerning her husband and Jeff Fisher.
The most interesting item was her statement that Floyd saved Fisher’s job on two occasions and noted that if he hadn’t done so, he’d still be in Tennessee and Fisher would have been long gone.
She sounded bitter, but credible.
It’s to Floyd Reese’s credit that he’s never publicly said anything negative about the Titans since his dismissal. His wife knew he’d be upset with her for making the statements she did.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
