More after the jump.

I’m concerned about Morgan and Jones.  Morgan will more than likely be a spectator; Jones may play but I doubt if he’ll be effective or get many snaps.  That means a lot of downs for William Hayes, Dave Ball and Malcolm Sheppard.  Possibly some for Karl Klug, who has gotten a few reps at DE, though he said he hasn’t played the position since his freshman year in college.  The good news is that the Jags’ o-line is struggling, so the Titans d-line may still be able to hold their own.

I’m also concerned about Ringer.  He was supposed to have a hip pointer and hasn’t practiced at all since the injury, which is now listed as a back injury.  If Ringer can’t go, that only leaves Jamie Harper as depth behind CJ, who will be experiencing his first live action this year.  Under those circumstances, it would normally be a surprise to see CJ get many touches, but he may have to if Ringer can’t play.  Harper can’t pass protect, and new fullback Quinn Johnson is a one-dimensional traditional fullback, as Tom wrote.

In other Titans news today, T Troy Kropog was released to make room for CJ on the roster.  Kropog had a knee injury last month that required arthroscopic surgery.  Indications were that he would be recovered in a couple of weeks, but perhaps he didn’t.  I still have a hard time believing Kevin Matthews is a better lineman than several who have been cut.
