After the jump, the analysis.
1. There was a lot of, if not pure garbage time, when some strong offensive conservatism and a defense that knew they were playing with a comfortable multi-score game, so some of what you see in the table is a reflection of that.
2. Chris Johnson's playing time was near the bottom of what I thought was the likely range for his playing time after Week 1. Dowell Loggains had suggested that he didn't see any particular problems with giving CJ 400 carries. To me, Battle's extensive playing time late suggests otherwise, or else maybe CJ won't get 400 carries if it means he finishes with 1187 yards.
3. Delanie Walker played less than he had in any prior game. The turf toe he entered the game with and seemed to aggravate during it contributed to that, obviously. His absence, however, did not result in more playing time for Taylor Thompson, who now has 21 snaps in the last three games after 25 in the opener.
4. No Kenny Britt meant a clear pecking order at receiver, with Washington and Wright the starters plus Williams the number three and Hunter and Preston playing very situationally.
5. Through the first quarter of the season, every offensive starting offensive lineman has played every snap on offense.
6. I present to you the DT and DE lines in this post as the Titans saying what I think is true, namely "We have two good defensive linemen, plus a bunch of rotational guys."
7. Jason McCourty is the only player to take every snap on defense.
8. Coty Sensabaugh v. opposing WR3 snap battle: 45 v. 40 for Ben Obomanu.
9. This is the fourth game of Tommie Campbell's career where he's gotten to play on defense. He also appeared in three games last year, in a similar situation late in the blowout win against Miami, as the fourth corner in the Green Bay game, and he got to play in the second half of the season finale against Jacksonville.
10. Unlike last week, the Titans did not seem to have any plays where they only played with 10 players on defense.
