<![CDATA[With the fourth-round pick they acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday, 122nd overall in the 2014 NFL draft, the Titans selected defensive back Marqueston Huff from Wyoming.
Huff has good size for the position at 5’11, 196 pounds and showed pretty good speed, running a 4.47 at the Combine. He was a productive player for the Cowboys, recording 127 tackles as a senior. The big question is whether he will play cornerback or safety; some people had him as a corner, while I saw others listing him as a safety. As a safety, he’s much more on the free safety/coverage safety mold. The Titans in their tweet announcing the selection described him as a cornerback. He may be a candidate for the slot role this season that may become vacant if Coty Sensabaugh wins the outside corner job.
Like most Day 3 players, Huff is one I didn’t watch closely and I will go into in more detail after the draft. Given that cornerback and wide receiver were the two positions I wanted to see them address sooner rather than later, I approve of this pick.]]>
