Wolves Updates 9/7

-Ed Pinckney, an assistant basketball coach at Villanova, will replace Rex Kalamian as an assistant with the Timberwolves… 

-Wolves owner Glen Taylor held a board of directors and owners
meeting Wednesday and he reported to the group that the franchise lost
more than $20 million last season..

-Juwan Howard "has named three teams he would prefer to play with, but so far none of
the three have offered what the Wolves believe would be adequate trade
value."

-The Wolves have offered a "one-year contract at the minimum of $420,000 and a club option for two more years" to second round pick Chris Richard but the player’s agent is looking for a two-year guarantee…

The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that Bob Thornton has been
named as an assistant coach for the 2007-08 season. He has four seasons
of NBA coaching experience with the Chicago Bulls (2002-04) and
Minnesota Timberwolves (2005-07).

"I give the guys who make these games a lot of respect because I know
it’s a lot of long hours and a lot of work to get the game out by a
certain time," said Foye, who’s an avid Madden player. "It’s kind of
like being an athlete. They have to work as hard as they can to get the

Wolves play-by-play announcer Brian Sieman on taking a job with the Clippers:
"It was a tough decision," Sieman said. "There are so many great people
who work there that I will miss, and that’s what made the decision a
difficult one. I was happy in Minnesota and could have been there a
long time. But this situation is one that probably won’t come up again."
 
 
 

But this is going to work in Boston. It’s going to work because of Kevin Garnett.
