Wolves 93, Nuggets 99

From Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune:

Everything looked the same but, one by one, they suggested things are changing. A little. Not enough yet. But a little.
"I’m saying we’re getting closer, real close," a frustrated but
insistent Al Jefferson said after the Timberwolves managed not to win
again Friday. They let a late three-point lead disappear in a 99-93
loss to the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.

Wolves record: 1-9

The Wolves matched the worst start through 10 games in franchise history. They are 1-9, same as the 1991-92 team.

Most NBA fans just look at the standings every morning and make inferences about teams… especially teams at the bottom.  But after spending most of the day around the Timberwolves understand this: these guys work really hard.  Al Jefferson, Sebastian Telfair, and Gerald Green worked out hard once at shootaround this morning and again about 90 minutes before the game.  This is more than just lip-service, folks.  I’ve seen a lot of teams workout so far this season, and the Wolves worked out harder than any of them.  Minnesota isn’t ready to be a playoff team this year, but just watch, in two or three years this group is going to be very solid.

27 Points the Nuggets scored off the Wolves’ 21 turnovers.
38.6 The Wolves’ field goal percentage, their lowest of the season.
