Wolves Updates 11/27

Antoine Walker joked that Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Marko Jaric was "overachieving.”
The reference was not to the guard’s recent hot shooting, but that the
native of Serbia is dating Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima.

Lima is supportive of Jaric. She flew to Denver on Thanksgiving and attended the Wolves’ game there the next day.
Teammate Mark Madsen spilled the beans on Jaric’s relationship with Lima.
"Ever since he started dating Adriana Lima, he’s a new man," Madsen said, laughing. "He’s flying all over the
court. He dunked! I’ve never seen him dunk."

Monday’s game was the Wolves’ first in New Orleans since Hurricane
Katrina hit the city in August 2005. The Wolves played both road games
against the Hornets last season in Oklahoma City, where the team played
most of its home games until returning full-time to New Orleans Arena
this season.
Wolves players Antoine Walker and Gerald Green met and had their photos taken with players from a New Orleans-area youth-recreation team before the game as part of the NBA’s efforts to help revitalize the city.

The Wolves are at the bottom of ESPN’s most recent power rankings.

Al Jefferson, 22, whom the Timberwolves acquired from Boston in the trade for Kevin Garnett, is one of only six NBA players averaging at least 20 points and 10 rebounds this season. Jefferson is averaging 20.4 points and 11.5 rebounds.
Among the six is Garnett, 31, who is averaging 20.9 points and 12.7 rebounds.
