It’s been tough for the Wolves to find that type of
focus away from home, where they’ve lost six in a row. They fell to
2-26 on the road and will need to win four more games to avoid matching
the franchise record for fewest road wins in a season. In the Wolves’
debut campaign, 1989-90, they went 5-36 away from home.

This time, Utah ended the first half and opened the second with a 33-7
run — 18-7 before halftime, 15-0 after it — that created an outcome
so lopsided one fan called for long-retired Jazz star Thurl Bailey, a
team broadcaster and former Timberwolf, after Wittman summoned former
University of Utah star Michael Doleac and Mark Madsen late in the game.

Wolves forward Al Jefferson tweaked his left knee late in the third quarter of tonight’s game at Utah, but he said he will be OK. Jefferson did not play in the fourth quarter but doesn’t expect to miss any games. He walked out of the locker room without a noticeable limp.

Ex-Jazz guard Snyder, recently traded from Houston to Minnesota, scored
a season-high 16 points. … Former University of Utah big man Michael Doleac
mad a rare appearance for the Timberwolves, going scoreless with four
rebounds in five minutes. It was just the 19th game Doleac has played
this season.
