Wolves Updates 3/15

From Jerry Zgoda/Star Tribune:

The Wolves arrived in Seattle Thursday without injured Sebastian
Telfair, inactive Antoine Walker and Michael Doleac, who stayed behind
in the Twin Cities because his wife, Shannon, is expecting their child
any day now. “It’s all about family first,” Wittman said.

Doleac said recently he’s not sure what the future will bring after this season.

"I’m considering all options," he said. "I haven’t
made any decisions. I just want to see what options are out there, how
my family life is looking and everything."

Doleac said retirement is one of the options. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

In addition to be included on Hoopsworld’s list of the "five hottest power forwards", Al Jefferson was also listed among the league’s top 5 centers by Jon Mladic/Hoopsworld.

Game statistics and notes distributed to media members before Friday’s
game listed little-used reserve Mark Madsen’s season stats like this:
21.4 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists a game. With numbers like
that, why isn’t he playing? "That’s a very good question," Wittman said
with a smile.

Just how bad is this team? They may finish with a worse record than the
expansion team from 1989, which finished 22-60! The current team has 19
games left. Can they win eight of them? Why should they. The more they
lose, the more ping-pong balls they get in the upcoming draft. This
team has scored fewer points, has less assists, has allowed more points
and has more turnovers than the 1989-90 team. There were also more fans
in the stands back then and more people watching the games on
television.
