Al Jefferson received 14 points in the voting for this season’s All-NBA Teams.
Green and Horford, part of the magical 2004 class that led Florida to back-to-back national titles in 2006-07, have returned to Florida to enroll in classes for the first summer session.
Classmate Corey Brewer wanted to join then, but his offseason workout

Foye and Pinckney are part of a group headlined by current Turkish
players Mehmet Okur and Hedo Turkoglu that will hold camp at
Darüssafaka Tesisleri, Ayhan Sahenk Spor Salonu in Istanbul from June
4-7. Basketball without Borders Europe was last held in Istanbul in
2002, though the city was part of NBA Europe Live 2007, which featured
the Timberwolves playing an exhibition game against local pro team Efes
Pilsen Istanbul. Also joining Foye and Pinckney in Turkey are current
NBA players Bruce Bowen, David Lee and Mickael Pietrus, along with
former Timberwolves coach Dwane Casey.

four writers from alternative media sources, representing online
outlets such as Hoopsworld.com, SLAMonline.com and the thinking fan’s
site of choice, Britt Robson’s “On the Ball”  from rakemag.com. Me? I was there a lot, too, representing both MinnPost.com and SI.com, where I’m a regular contributor.

Carlisle is
expected to bring his own crew of assistant coaches, though Paul
Westphal, Joe Prunty, Mario Elie and Popeye Jones all have one more
year on their contracts. Former NBA head coaches Dwane Casey and Terry
Stotts have been mentioned as possible targets for Carlisle’s staff.
Michael Grange/The Globe and Mail:on the departure of Raptors TV voice Chuck Swirsky:
Phone rang last night and it was Rob Babcock calling. He did not apologize for not drafting Andre Iguodala, but at this point it’s understood.  Instead he was calling to offer his appreciation on Chuck Swirsky, who, as we all know, is heading to Chicago…
