Wolves Updates 5/14

Tim Kawakami/San Jose Mercury News names Al Jefferson to his First Annual NBA No-Defense All-Star team:
Gets a few blocks (1.45 per), which is more than Curry can say, but
factoring in his heavy minute total, it’s not that great a total. It’s
clear Jefferson saves his energy for offense–Minnesota was a much, much
better defensive team when Jefferson was out of the game. Given
Jefferson’s offensive skills, he could become a superstar if he just
tried a little harder on defense. We’ll see.

In the voting for the NBA All-Rookie Teams, Corey Brewer received one first-place vote and 3 points total.

Meanwhile, Dwane
Casey has been rumored as a candidate to join the Mavericks, but he is
also being considered for head coach at Chicago. Casey was head coach
at Minnesota for a season and a half, going 43-59 before being fired in
January 2007.

Casey is vying for the Bulls’ job, along with Johnson, among others.
