Wolves Updates 5/21

McHale said he was more excited to watch returning players Corey
Brewer, Rashad McCants, Chris Richard (a restricted free agent this
summer) work out Tuesday morning with Jefferson and Craig Smith due in
town shortly than he was with the team’s lottery result that night.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have Cory Brewer in town and
they’re working on his changing the form of his shot. He’ll play with
the summer team.

The Associated Press on O.J. Mayo:
Timberwolves basketball boss Kevin McHale said Tuesday night that the
allegations made in an ESPN report will have no bearing on whether or
not the Wolves consider him at No. 3 in the June 26 draft.

"No, not at all," McHale said after the draft lottery. "Tell you what,
if you said that every person who ever took any money in college would
not be drafted, it’d be slim pickings."

In his latest effort for his foundation, Hoops for Heart
Health, Gomes and business manager Wayne Simone have put together a
fundraising dinner and golf tournament slated for June 16-17 in
Southington. One cannot host a charity golf event without playing golf.

Which begs the obvious question: does Ryan Gomes play golf?

"No," he said Tuesday. "I’m about to start, though."

Bulls general manager John Paxson has scheduled interviews for the team’s head coach vacancy with Tyrone Corbin, Dwane Casey, Jeff Hornacek, and Chuck Person.
