The Mayo selection was a hit with Wolves fans at the draft party and with Mayo, who stepped onto the stage at draft headquarters at the WaMu Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York wearing a cap with the team’s new logo.
“I’m just happy to be part of the organization,” Mayo told ESPN, “and I’m ready to roll.”
