From the Associated Press:
Dwane Casey is preparing for his first game at Target Center since the Timberwolves fired him in January 2007.
Casey is now an assistant with the Dallas Mavericks, who visit the Timberwolves tomorrow night. He tells The Associated Press that he is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces when he gets into town.
Slowing down that offense will be the Wolves’ main challenge Saturday night at Target Center in a game that will test their team defense more so than any individual matchups.
“This team’s good,” Wittman said. “You’ve got (Josh) Howard, (Dirk) Nowitzki, (Jason) Terry coming off the bench. You have (Jason) Kidd controlling everything. This is going to have to be more of a team dimension than focusing on one guy in particular. We have to stop them as a team.”
