Wolves Updates 4/1

Don Seeholzer/Pioneer Press on Randy Foye (hip) and Craig Smith (calf) missing their second game because of injuries:
Coach Kevin McHale wouldn’t speculate on a return date for either player, but even with just seven games remaining, said he doesn’t think Foye will have to be shut down for the season.

“I think he’ll come back and play some,” McHale said. “If he gets hit there probably anymore, he won’t be able to play much. … When it bothers you to push off, just nobody around you, that’s probably a good time to rest it.”

Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor isn’t the only one who would like to see Kevin McHale return as coach next season.
McHale got a pregame endorsement Tuesday night from an old Boston Celtics teammate, first-year Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle.
“I hope Kevin does,” Carlisle said. “Because having legendary players around the game, teaching the game, especially in this situation where they have so many really good young players, is a great positive for their franchise. It’s a great positive situation for our game in general.”

Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor is looking all over to decide what he wants to do with the general manager’s position.
