Wolves forward Kevin Love, who missed the past two games with strep throat, practiced with the team Thursday and declared himself fit to play tonight.
Rambis, however, preferred to wait until this morning’s shootaround before deciding on whether to activate Love. Thursday was Love’s first full practice since last week.
“He looked much better than (Wednesday) and did everything in practice,” Rambis said. “But he got tired real quick and still looked drained.”
“I’m good to go now,” Love said. “I feel a lot better. My vacation is over.”

Rambis’ adjustment to place Brewer on Kevin Durant created a much-improved defensive effort from Minnesota in the second half. Durant was held scoreless for a 10-minute span while Brewer played exceptional one-on-one defense.
“It’s always great going against a great player like Kevin Durant, Kobe, any of those great players in the league when you get to go against those guys and try to step up to the challenge best you can. Last night I just tried to go back at him and play the best defense I could,” Brewer said.
Brewer rose to the occasion on both ends of the floor, recording five steals and scoring 25 points.
“It’s always great going against a great player like Kevin Durant, Kobe, any of those great players in the league when you get to go against those guys and try to step up to the challenge best you can. Last night I just tried to go back at him and play the best defense I could,” Brewer said.
Corey Brewer has scored 20 or more points in a game seven times in his three-season NBA career. Wednesday’s 25-point night was the third time he has done so in only the past three weeks.

“To get an award in this league, you have to win games,” Jefferson said. “If we win games, I think he’s got a good chance. Corey really has stepped his game up. He’s doing the things we’re asking him to do — guard the other team’s best player and score — and that’s a lot.”
Flynn, regardless, is having fun. “This is what every player dreams of doing, playing in the NBA.” Jonny Flynn is doing that and a whole lot more. As some QB’s make their mark (and some at ripe ages too), the Little Big Man is proving his “point” at a very young age. And Wolves fans are lucky he’s here.
