Wolves 94, Bucks 127

Wolves record: 9-36

About four minutes into Saturday night’s game, things looked good for the Timberwolves, who connected on five of their first seven shots and held a 13-12 lead.

Unfortunately for them, that was the high-water mark for the night.

A Carlos Delfino three-pointer sparked a 14-0 run and the Milwaukee Bucks left Minnesota in the dust, cruising to a 127-94 rout at the Bradley Center.

Playing their second game in as many nights, the Timberwolves failed to generate any sort of offensive rhythm, shooting at a 38.4 percent clip (33 for 86) and missing 11 of 13 three-point attempts.

So dull, in fact, that some fans seemed more interested in football. As the teams warmed up at halftime, a group of rowdies began chanting “Favre sucks!” at the Wolves, I guess hoping the visitors would be insulted. When Kevin Love shot free throws, they serenaded him with a J. Geils Band favorite: “Love stinks. Yeah-yeah.”

“We have to bring extra energy to win on the road. We have to come out about 200 percent,” said Flynn, who led the Wolves with 20 points and five assists. “And we were about 50. You can’t win games like that.”
