After a recent strong statement from Minnesota GM David Kahn that he won’t be doing any big moves, I inquired once again as to the state of affairs out that way.
My discoveries are sure to crush those of you online and in the radio realm who have been clamoring for a Martin-for-Al Jefferson deal or even a Martin-for Kevin Love deal. But don’t hold your breath. Despite sources close to the T-Wolves recently saying they had discussed adding Martin, those discussions apparently didn’t wind up with the conclusion that he is destined to be a T-Wolf. There is no interest in him.

Jefferson said he believes the experience will help his game even he doesn’t make the Olympic team.
“I didn’t have a chance to work on my game last summer; it was all about my knee,” Jefferson said. “This summer I’m really going to hit the court and try and get better as a player. Why not finish the summer off with those guys, trying to make the USA team.”

Love got a taste of the USA program when he took part in a minicamp in Las Vegas last summer.
“It was the best experience I had all summer,” he said. “If you’re able to play against those caliber of players and runs like that throughout the summer it’s just going to take your game to the next level.”

Love and Wolves guard Jonny Flynn leave for Dallas today to prepare for Friday’s rookie challenge game. Love will play for the second-year players; Flynn is on the rookie roster.
The teammates have already had a few rounds of trash talking in the locker room.

Love’s selection to the game vindicates what he felt was a snub from last year’s rookie challenge. Love made a quick recovery from missing the first 18 games this season with a broken bone in his left hand.
