The New York Giants have been a tale of two teams through four weeks, as they looked awful en route to an 0-2 start, but have seen their offense come alive in two straight wins. Sitting at 2-2, the G-Men welcome the Atlanta Falcons to town in Week 5 as they shoot for their third straight win.
The mere possibility of such a gaudy winning streak has fans of Big Blue giddy, while Giants vs Falcons tickets are understandably a little pricey at $315.87 on average, the price is actually below the season average for Giants tickets. The game is currently 4.3% below the season average. While that’s a tad expensive compared to the league average for Week 5, it’s still an arguable deal between two 2-2 teams that boast solid offenses. The $96 get-in price is the second lowest for remaining Giants home games. The big question this week is whether or not Eli Manning and co. can keep up with Matt Ryan and Atlanta’s top-ranked offense. However, Big Blue does appear to have luck on their side, as Atlanta has been brutally bad on the road this year.
It’s the Falcons defense that has been the issue all year long, though, as they allowed 34 points to the Saints in week one and the only time they looked remotely competent was at home against a bad Buccaneers squad. Naturally this matchup has Giants running back Rashad Jennings licking his chops. He got a bit of a break in a blowout win in week four, but is plenty ready to run all over this porous Falcons run defense, just like he did when he toted the ball 34 times in week three. If the Giants get the ground game going and control the pace of this one, the Falcons could be put in a bad spot right away in this one.
New York also has the tools on defense to both stifle Atlanta’s lethargic rushing attack, as well as get after Matt Ryan. With shaky protection thanks to injuries across his offensive line, Ryan has had issues with timing and accuracy on the road. If the G-Men can make that trend continue through Week 5, they’ll find themselves with a third straight win.
