Gary Russell Jr. suffers a hairline fracture of his hand.
(Russell is an outstanding prospect and it doesn’t hurt his appeal that he happens to be a rare young, American blue-chip. To his credit, he seems very positive and upbeat about it, and we wish him all the best. The rest of the Featherweight division escapes with a 10-9…for now.)
