Welcome to Undercard Superstar’s guide to gambling, where you can get po’ in one night if you play your cards right! As your resident financial adviser in MMA gambling, it is my duty to inform you that nobody affiliated with Undercard Superstar is accountable for any losses. In fact, you probably brought it upon yourself for reading this. So, seriously, you’ve been warned.
We look at a decent little weekend in boxing, featuring Adonis Stevenson vs. Tavoris Cloud and the return Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. against Brian Vera. Both are bouts that carry a lot of weight in the sport (although it is unknown exactly how much weight the latter will carry until the day of the fight), but do either of them have any value?

Main Card Values
What really strikes me here is the chances Vera has. Now, hear me out, there is a reason why Chavez, Jr. is that heavily favored. But, considering Chavez needing to change the weight limit by ten pounds and it being a ten rounder, there is a livedog fsctor for Vera to come forward and wear down what should be a sketchy gas tank for Chavez. This bet isn’t worth anything more than some pocket change, but if you’re feeling froggy, jump.
I also like the chances of Tavoris Cloud as an underdog. While Adonis Stevenson is pure murder in terms of power, he doesn’t quite have the credentials yet in comparison to Cloud. Cloud did look awfully shoddy against Gabriel Campillo and fought tough in a loss against Bernard Hopkins, but there is potential for him to outbox Stevenson, who is coming off an impressive first-round KO of Chad Dawson.
Final Thoughts
Should you feel so inclined, I would put the smallest of small amounts on the underdogs here. Cloud is probably the more likely of the two to put a bigger amount on, but Chavez, Jr.’s lack of care could cost him and you could cash in big there.
Additionally, for those a little more well-versed in international boxing, there are a few other fights up for selection that you could parlay in with a smaller favorite like Stevenson.
However, nothing here ultimately catches my eye.
