Hello guys I’m back!
5 weeks left of hard training which means I’m at my home gym in Schuamberg, IL. Midwest Training Center. I chose to start Thursday on sparring day:)
Needless to say I’m a little rusty on my hands but can still take a great shot or two or three. It’s a rough process going from mid-level training to high-level training and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My head coach/trainer Alex is the best coach I’ve ever had due to the fact he’s a straight shooter and calls me out when I’m not putting forth everything I have in training, that’s why we gel so nicely.
Conditioning is what I hate the most, but it’s going good my knee’s holding up and my cardio is slowly but surely getting on point! I’m happy about that as cardio makes cowards out of men, but I wouldn’t change it for anything due to the fact I’m not really good at anything else! Lol, I’m honest what can I say?
I took my three nieces, Maddy, Noel, & Saya trick-or-treating the other night. It took my mind off of fighting, training, coaching, just being out there with ’em and seeing them smile and have fun. Just the innocence of happy, polite kids gives me a little hope in humanity. November 9th is my last coaching obligation, My niece, Madelynn “BEAST” Hongmoungkhoune goes to the gym every day I go and prepares just like I do, so I’m looking forward to her getting her 2nd Advanced Division championship belt. She’s my mini-me and I’m happy, proud, and a little scared that she wants to fight like me. Hope she decides to do something else.
