(Kenny is fighting December 13 at XFO 49 and in the meantime he’ll be checking in with us to lend a peek behind the scenes of what goes on in a fighter’s life.)
I’d like to apologize for taking so long on this third installment, been a busy week of training, networking, and NAGA! Speaking about NAGA, congratulations to my niece, Madelynn, for another 1st place belt which makes two in the past two events. Girl’s a BEAST! LOL! She’s my mini for a reason.
Training’s been brutal! It sucks. I’m frustrated, annoyed, and just all around sick of it all, for the most part. Yet, I’m super happy to be back in the fold on a stacked card of Bellator, UFC, and Ultimate Fighter alumni that’s only 45 minutes away from my home. I believe people should learn to be honest about themselves and open up about most of the things in their life. So with that being said, I’m sure that after this fight I’ll most likely be going under the knife to fully repair my knee.
I know what you’re all thinking, “why would you say such a thing right before a fight? Won’t your opponent see this and plan on hurting it more?” Well to answer your question, I don’t really care what he’s going to TRY to do. I actually hope he does zero in on it, if he does I got something for him 🙂 This goes back to the being honest thing. For the people who actually take the time out to read this, I want you to know I appreciate you and look at you as family and I think this is exactly what the readers want to read. HONESTY!
I’m 28 and feel 40 this sport has taking a toll on me both mentally and physically but the rush I get from it is unexplainably awesome. So with about four weeks left I’m confident in what I have to beat this guy and I’m going to beat him. No worries whatsoever on my end. Today I have some Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and game planning drills at MTC. So I’m actually looking forward to training tonight with my bros and girls.
Hope you guys have been enjoying my blogs/diaries and continue reading up until fight night and after. S/O to XFO, Mike Herron & Dan Lardy, Undercard Superstar, Alienware, Brian Butler-Au & Suckerpunch Ent for the GREAT exposure.
Sincerly,
Kenny “Gorilla” Booker
